CMAT Syllabus is divided into 4 sections – Logical & Analytical Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. All the 4 sections have 25 questions that carry a total of 100 marks. Therefore, the CMAT exam carries 400 marks in total. Each correct answer is worth 4 marks while a wrong answer will earn you a 1 negative mark. This means you have to really think hard and be sure of your answers.
Logical & Analytical Reasoning – In this section, you will face questions where you will have to show logic and reasoning skills. You need to analyse each question carefully to get to the correct answers.

This section is all about what it is named – general awareness. There are fixed types of questions or topics you will face. You be asked all about current affairs in the world, economics, politics, entertainment, history, trivia, etc. Therefore, you need to know what is happening in the world and in the country. You have to be in a habit of watching the news and reading newspapers and magazines. You can also set Google Alerts for important news events around the world. Use the internet to your advantage as well.
This section tests your mathematical skills. This is one of the most difficult sections in the exam and many students struggle with it. Therefore, you need to give special attention and a lot of practice in this section. Arithmetic and algebra are covered in this section; however, these two subtopics are also vast. This is another section that students immensely struggle with. It is almost impossible to get a perfect score in the English language, but that does not mean you cant do well. With the right kind of revision and practice, you can do really well. The English section is divided into Verbal Ability and Language Comprehension.
