Maharashtra schools have decided to remember APJ Kalam on his birth anniversary in an incredible way. The schools will be celebrating the day as no-school bag day and students will be encouraged to read books which are not a part of their course curriculum.
October 15 will be a fun-filled day for students in Maharashtra as they will be going to school without their heavy school bags.
The occasion is APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, October 15, which has been announced as Vaachan Prerna Diwas or Reading Day in all schools of Maharashtra, by the state’s Education Minister Vinod Tawde.
